Michele Porcu is an architect, teacher, critic and independent curator who lives and works in Milano.

He graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in Architecture with Vittoriano Viganò.

Besides his professional activity as an architect, he carries out critical investigations in the field of exhibitions, editorial projects and conferences, focused on experimental works and on the relationship between architecture and the other art forms.

He has collaborated for many years with the Triennale di Milano and Abitare magazine.

He has taught at Politecnico di Milano and since 2007 is teaching at NABA/Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano.

In 2014 Michele Porcu founded with Mary Zurigo Z.E.A. Zone di Esplorazione Artistica, a group of critical research and project in contemporary art, architecture and design.

Since 2016 Z.E.A. is developing alzhalarte, an art and design programme with activities in the museums for people living with dementia and their caregivers. In 2017 they founded a non profit association - associazione alzhalarte - and were awarded the IC3 Innovazione Culturale grant by Fondazione Cariplo.
